Thirty years of experience. When I was in high school at Fort Hunt, I started Rob's Handyman Service while also working at Hechinger Hardware here in Hybla Valley. I continued the business in the summers while studying building construction at Va Tech. I worked construction full time after graduation. I later joined (and retired from) the DC Police Department and at the same time began renovating my own homes. I have renovated historic homes in Old Town and DC, and built additions in MD and VA.

In addition to the repair services I offer, I now combine my prior experience as a training coordinator for the police department with my vast construction knowledge and skills in order to give "How To Do-It-Yourself" lessons. I have diverse trainer experiences from being a boating, dive, and swift-water rescue instructor to being a substitute teacher and lacrosse coach at West Potomac HS. My goal is to benefit my customers who want to have the satisfaction and the cost savings of learning to do their own home repairs and projects. With my help you can learn how to do it yourself!
I enjoy working with people. You can use me as a consultant on any big or small job you are undertaking. I can consult, be extra hands, or even be on-call in order to help you through any snags along the way.
I am an incredible problem solver and I love a challenge. People call me to fix the problems others created or gave up on. My goal is to improve the quality of your life by providing you with a stress-free repair service.
